Oldie(s) of the month

Wednesday, November 14th, 2012

time for some more old shit – this time I’ve got 2 tunes from my dead sideproject ‘Annette Gratze‘ for you, created somewhere between 2001/02.

the last time I blogged a track of this sideproject here was already two years ago, so if you want to know more about ‘Annette Gratze‘, go on clicking THIS WAY! ;)

the first track I got for you was one of our latest sessionworks & it wasn’t part of our album ‘Words More in the Air‘.

Achnbach and me (who wrote and composed all tracks) sometimes lingered in the basement of their house and had sessions with various instruments. it was mostly improvised stuff without an defined structure. we jammed around, achnbach on guitar & me on synths & percussion and created this organic, slightly ill piece of cake – it somehow has an overall sloppy jazzy feeling to it so we named it after the place where it was created. ;)
we later added additional electronics and annette’s ad-libs.

annette gratze – jazzhole

the second tune I got for yalls is the closing track of our album – a beautiful, ethereal and melancholic instrumental guitar performance by achnbach.

annette gratze – distance (gone)

enjoy the music!

Oldie of the month

Monday, September 10th, 2012

here’s another ‘Oldie of the month‘ – the last ‘OotM‘ was in may already, so it’s right about that time. ;)

this weeks/months oldie is a tune I did in 2003stilistic it’s settled somewhere in downtempo and features a groovy rhodespiano. the track is namedDon’t keep your head down‘.

it’s taken from my 2003 cdr-release ‘Total Consuming Satisfaction‘, which will be digitally rereleased in winter this year – stay tuned!

enjoy!

A special $upra Release for free download!!

Friday, July 27th, 2012

yesyesyall, it’s true – due to the excellent hot-summer-action outside I decided to drop a complete free release on $upra Recordings – how friggin’ awesome is that?? :D

this release is a very personal and oldschoolish one, as it features my very first (but already dead) alias, which brought me into producing electronic dancemusic —-
I’m talking bout ‘FX-INTRUDER’.

since this blog exists I’ve feeded you dear readers with old stuff, sometimes under the topics ‘Mp3 Abyssum’ or ‘Oldie of the week’ or ‘L.O.S.T.’ etc. – due to some nice emails of you I decided to pack all that old stuff into one official release.

stilistic it ranges from house to techno to acid – all produced with the good ole analogue stuff like original synths (f.e. juno 60, dw 8000, etc.) and arranged with the atari st. :)

and here it comes: featuring the works from 92-00 – enjoy ‘FX-INTRUDER – A small Entrance‘!!

listen/download/share – it’s free!!
click on ‘download‘ or ‘buy now‘ and enter ‘0‘ – the download button appears.
(p.s.: you can also pay for it if you like! ;) )

Oldie of the Month

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012

time for another monthly oldie – this time it’s a tune by myself from ‘99 named ‘claustrophobic attitude‘. :)

the title is pretty much program in this fast, weird & paranoid dnb/breakbeat track. lots of ill breaks, sick synth stabs and unexpected noises are goin on until the long awaited amen-break drops in.

prepare yourself for a bouncy ride!

enjoy claustrophobia! ;)

The oldest Oldie evarrr!!

Monday, February 27th, 2012

this week start’s with something very special here at Ħ Ξ Ŀ Ŀ – I reanimated one of the oldest songs I’ve ever written & recorded. and it was back in the days of 1986.

in that year my brother & me already had our very first band running called ‘Newhouse‘ (because our surname ‘Neuhaus’ means that in english ;) ), consisting of my brother on drums & vocals and myself on synth & vocals (from left to right on pic above). I was 14 and my brother was 9 years old in that day.

we covered a lot of 80′s pop- and italodisco-stuff but we also had own songs, which were mainly composed & written by myself.
this song named ‘Goodbeye‘ was one of my very first selfwritten songs and we had the opportunity to professionally record that tune in a studio which was run by a friend of my parents, who gave us this recording as an xmas present. we recorded oldschoolish analogue on good old tape

you’re now about to witness this historical oldie – please forgive the bad english, my puberty vocal change and the sometimes occurring rhythmical untightness! ;)

enjoy!!

Newhouse – Goodbeye

in the year 2006 I made some remixed versions of some of these old tunes, especially ‘Goodbeye’ and two other songs (Emergency, Lose Control), which are part of my digital album ‘Carefree‘ – you can check that out below, too! vvvvv

Oldie of the Month

Saturday, January 14th, 2012

here comes the first oldie of the month in 2012 at Ħ Ξ Ŀ Ŀ – a track by myself named ‘I Like It When You Smile‘, created in 2005.

this deep downtempo styled tune is very atmospheric and turns from slight angelic, etheric and positive vibes into some dark, eerie & spooky kind of mood in the end.

stilistic this track is settled somewhere between trip hop/downtempo and broken beats with dub and ambient influences, and features some slightly timestretched strings and a backwards piano.

I Like It When You Smile‘ is also part of my 2006 release ‘Carefree‘, which is available via my $upra-Shop on ithinkmusic and also on iTunes. ‘Carefree‘ will soon be available via my $upra-Shop on bandcamp, too.

listen, enjoy, download & share – it’s free! ;)

Oldie of the month

Wednesday, September 14th, 2011

back again with some sick old shiatt – this time it’s a tune by myself from 1998. :)

the track named ‘hyperweirdo‘ is as the name says a wacky & ill piece of dopebeat/illbient.
it was part of my 99e.p. release ‘massive retaliation‘ and came out only on cd-r on $upra Recordings.

inspired by music from bentley rhythm ace, old fatboy slim and other stuff from the good ole skint label.
‘hyperweirdo’ also contains a short sample of a very well known shitty poptrack – the names have been changed to protect the innocent! ;)

hell g. – hyperweirdo

have fun!

Oldie of the month

Friday, July 22nd, 2011

kicking in with another oldie of the month – this time it’s an older tune from me and dub mars’ sleepy sideproject ‘PUCH’. ;)

this track named ‘whatelse is wrong’ is taken from our 2002 album ‘Sense’ (read & listen more HERE).

it’s a slightly mad, deep & twisted downtempo/triphop/illbient tune with lots of dub & jazz flavours carried on breakie beats and funky basslines.

enjoy that trip!

Oldie of the month

Friday, May 13th, 2011

todays oldie of the month is again a newer-one – it was manufactured between 2005/06.

this tune named ‘Instinct‘ is a dark, harmful & fast neurofunk-styled drum & bass track – the trackname is pretty much program here.

technoid breaks, cold synthpads, metallic fx & a deep distorted bassline are the perfect soundtrack for driving ultrafast on the highway – in the wrong direction – a great plan for friday the 13th. ;)

here it cometh in full 320kbit quality:
hell g. – instinct
