3 nu Remixes!!!

Friday, April 29th, 2011

yesyes yall, you read right: 3 nu different remixes I’ve got for yalls today – but they all have one thing in common: they are all done for the magnificent instrumental impro-jam-trio ‘The Von Duesz’.

what can I write about ‘The Von Duesz‘?
It’s not so easy to describe their sound – it’s mainly a very special feeling they transmit – you simply have to experience for yourself!
there are many ways to do so – maybe you checkout their uplifting longplayer ‘Dynamo’, or you listen to their sessions on soundcloud, maybe you watch their video’s on youtube or vimeo.
but let me tell you: the best way to experience the musical passion of The Von Duesz is by seeing them performing live!!

in their melting pot of styles like f.e. disco, electro, jazz, kraut, etc. no one escapes seriously – so let me tell ya if you ever get the chance to see them live, take it!! :)

like I said I’ve got 3 different remixes for yalls now – let’s start with my own one. ;)
I remixed their only ‘pop-song‘ named ‘Gun‘ – it’s their only song with vocals and it’s also their only song which isn’t part of their longplayer ‘Dynamo‘.
I took their sounds & channels and mixed up a spaced-out electrodisco tune.
I also cutted some video’s for the remixesenjoy!!

the 2nd remix comes from my & dub mars’ brand nu sideproject named ‘Phantomsignal‘ (read more bout us here).
we chose their short interludeIt’s like Grand Piano‘ and morphed it into an epic 7minute slo-mo tripstep adventure. enjoy the deep trip!

last not least it’s time for our $upra-labelshortie Boris Backup. the kid took their tune ‘Cody‘, grabbed some of the original moog-synthlines and rearranged a catchie detroit-inspired technotune in a livesession. enjoy the flight!

these remixes, and a bunch of other great remixes, f.e. from Matthew Adams, are going to be released very soon – stay t00ned – I keep yall updated! :)

Happy nu vinyl year!!!

Tuesday, January 4th, 2011

yeah, you read right – it’s raining vinyl-releases at the beginning of 2011, so I’m going to kick off a double-post for today – how sick is that?

NEWS No 1:
first I wanna let you know that the latest $upra-release ‘Medicine – Your Tiny Suburbs’ – recently arrived over here on vinyl & they’re looking very gorgeous! each one with an individual downloadcode for more medicine music (in case you get addicted) and a fine artwork that looks a little bit like this:

there’s also an online-store now where you can order the records named SURGERY-INC.
you can also still order the vinyl via ‘supra AT hell-g DOT com’, too.
the mp3-release is also still available via the $upra-Store.

now breaking news numba 2:
another big, black & bad vinyl has been recently dropped – it’s the first labelcompilation of Andi Calvente’s sweet little label Radiopulpo-Records named ‘TV KILLS’! 3:)

some of you dear readers might recognize Andi Calvente as the head of the legendary non-fictional psychedelic-jamband ‘KARMASURFERS’.
he’s runnin his sweet little label ‘Radiopulpo’ for more than 10 years now with a bunch of fantastic 7inch vinyl releases.

on his first compilation ‘TV KILLS’ he featured more than 12 different artists and aswell an eclectic stylerange of music.

we are very happy & proud that we from ’7 Days Awake’ are opening this compilation with our brandnu track ‘iHurt’!

other artists on this compilation are f.e. boston beigel, p.h.b., ian stewart, karmasurfers, till the morninglight, r.p. fischer, T.A.f.F. & of course andreas calvente himself.

that’s it for now – nu year starts hopefully with a bunch of fantastic nu music – enjoy & thanks for buying!

p.s.: as you may recognize I changed the overall style of my blog again like I did last year – tryin to keep it more minimal, yaknowImsayin?? ;)

Nu $upra Release: Medicine – Your Tiny Suburbs

Monday, December 13th, 2010

kicking off this week again with another $upra-release – this time it’s something very special, cause it’s a double-release-feature: an mp3 and a vinyl (!!!) release at once! it’s also my very first vinylrelease on $upra-Recordings, so my label is no longer a pure mp3-label anymore. :)

we also welcome a new artist inside our $upra-rooster: Medicine

when it comes to medicine everyone easily thinks of bitter, harsh tasting syrup to cure one’s pain or illness.

this particular acoustic medicine is cure and illness in one substance.
düsseldorf’s turgut kocer’s house/indietronic project ‘Medicine’ doesn’t want to be your charming friend.
it’s more like a game with disguises, situations and social gradient’s.
‘if you want to understand something you need to have fun – if you want to experience something you can play-act’, he says.

‘Medicine’ focusses on melting different electronic musicstyles together into one catchy context, which normally won’t blend well, like f.e. dry & synthesized funk, disco, deep house, soundtracks, ambient & indietronic.
lyricalwise it’s like an uninvited guest on a wrong, decadent party. what happens then? what’s the difference? come out & find in! ;)

turgut also had a nice soundtrack project named ‘wardrobe memories’ bout ten years ago and was founder of the nice little label ‘schneetreiben’.

‘Your Tiny Suburbs’ is a double-feature-release-e.p.: first version is strictly mp3 and consists of 4 tracks; second version is the limited 500-piece-vinyl-edition and consists of 5 different tracks.

I prepared two different playlists for you to checkout both versions in full-length – how friggin’ sick is that? :D

starting with the mp3-version – now available in my SHOP:

and here we go with the vinyl edition – you can order the vinyl via ‘supra@hell-g.com’ – records will arrive over here on 7th of january 2011. there’ll be an online shop for vinyl very soon, too!

enjoy and thanks for purchasing!

p.s.: for those who buy the vinyl there’s a very special christmas gift: there are downloadcodes to all vinyltracks plus the super-exclusive bonustrack ‘hello jesus’! :)

p.p.s.: turgut & me are planning another great thing: the digital rerelease of the gorgeous schneetreiben compilation ‘bubble bunny music’ – stay tuned – we keep you updated!
